<div itemprop="description">Charles Albert Ferguson<br>August 8, 1922 - December 7, 2016<br><br>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Albert Ferguson.<br><br>Born on a farm near Tofield, Alberta 94 years ago, he was the third of five boys born to Elmo and Anna Ferguson. After leaving the farm, Charles went to work for Eaton's before he entered the armed forces at the age of 20, serving primarily in the dental corps. He left the army in 1946 and returned to Eaton's, retiring from there after over 30 years of service. Charles had a great love of children, gardening, animals, and music, performing his songs throughout his life, accompanied by his guitar. He was a true gentleman, with boundless energy, a cheerful attitude, and a wonderful sense of humor.<br><br>He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. We gratefully remember the love he gave us, and the lasting memories of the time spent in his company. His happiest memories were made during the 68 years of marriage to Kathleen, who predeceased him in April 2016. He was also predeceased by his parents, and three brothers, Eddie, Lorne, and George Ferguson. He leaves to mourn his brother Frank, son Bryan (Olga), daughters Gael (Don), Cindy (Arnold), Holly (Bob), 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.<br><br>Funeral services and interment will take place at Glenwood Funeral Home at 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, on Thursday, December 15th at 2:00 P.M.. Friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon after the service.<br></div>
