Born to a large family in Jackson Town, Patrick learned the value of hard work and devotion to family and friends. His tales of adventure and mischief in Trelawny highlighted any gathering and prompted shared memories from the tight-knit community of Edmontonians with roots in Jackson Town. As a young man, Patrick immigrated to Canada, first settling in Montreal and Toronto, where he met and married Beverly Wallace in 1978. Moving west to Edmonton with his young family, Patrick worked for many years as a welder, and as a foreman for CW Carry until his retirement in the spring of 2011. As his family grew, Patrick welcomed both sons-in-law graciously to the family and relished time with four grandchildren. He is remembered by his family for his quiet nature, strong love, and devotion to family.

He is survived by a family of strength and love: Esme Solomon (mother); Beverly Solomon (nee Wallace); Daughters, Melissa Kabachia (Steven) & Kim Montour (Steven); Grandchildren Quinn, Kaiya, Trace, and Kane; Aunt Joyce Tyrell; Siblings, Delvin, Daphne, Pauline, Val, Douglas, and Hugh; a large family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews, and an abundance of dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ivan Solomon.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, South of Wye Road on Range Road 232, Sherwood Park
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (http://www.heartandstroke.nf.ca)

“The winds that sometimes take something we love, are the same that bring us something we learn to love”

All of us are grateful beyond words to family and friends who are supporting and loving us as we mourn the passing of our father, husband, brother, grandfather, friend.
Family, Love, Peace.
