<div itemprop="description">GOODWIN, ALEXANDER JACKSON<br>August 25, 1940 - April 15, 2017<br>Age 76<br><br>It is with deep sadness the family of Alexander Jackson Goodwin announces his passing on April 15, 2017.<br><br>He will be forever missed by his wife of 56 years, Betty; three daughters: Jackie (Scott) Klompas, Pauline (Bruce) Hollinshead, and Claudine (Brent) Oliver; his grandchildren: Allan (Julie), Geoff (Krista), Ryan, Taylor, and Sean; great-grandson, Logan; and loyal boxer companion, Maggie; as well as many friends and extended family. He passed with his family at his side after waging a courageous battle against cancer.<br><br>Alec was very proud of bringing his family to Canada from Glasgow, Scotland in 1964. We will miss his guidance, wisdom, and tolerance that he always expressed with love, kindness, and a gentle supportive smile. Our Papa's stories and special sense of humor will always have a special place in our hearts.<br><br>A Celebration of Alec's life will take place on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park.<br><br>Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. <br></div>
